In October 2024, Samsonite conducted an extreme drop test by dropping its Proxis Global Spinner cabin suitcase from an altitude of 39,642 meters (130,000 feet). The suitcase withstood a fall at 418 km/h (260 mph), freezing temperatures of -65°C (-85°F), and a hard landing on rocks, remaining fully functional and intact, proving the extreme durability of its Roxkin™ material.
