What’s black, rectangular, has a carrying handle and is found on an airport luggage carrousel? That’s easy: your suitcase…and a couple of hundred others just like it belonging to your fellow passengers! So how do you manage to recognize your particular bags? The best way is to personalize them!
It doesn’t take much to make your suitcase stand out from the crowd: an original address tag, a brightly coloured lock, piece of tape or belt, a strategically placed sticker, a strip of cloth tied around the handle…some travellers even attach a small plastic holder containing a photo or picture they alone will recognize. And if you’ve been thinking it’s time to buy some new luggage, why not be different and opt for a colour other than the eternal black, red and brown? Some manufacturers even offer models featuring designs such as ladybugs or butterflies, tartan or black watch … the list goes on.
All these simple tricks will certainly help you recognize your bags more easily as they turn on the carrousel, but there’s an even better reason to personalize your suitcase: if you ever lose it, it will be easier to describe to the airline lost-and-found staff whose job it is to retrieve it …
Are you leaving on holiday? Show your colours!
